A Glimpse

As the snow gently falls, my body relaxes, my spirit is calmed.

Its softness quiets the world and makes me feel covered, like God wrapping me in a fluffy blanket saying, "Peace, my child, peace."

I can hardly pull myself from the window. I inhale deeply and exhale slowly and think of Him.

God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, "Fall on the earth," and to the rain shower, "Be a mighty downpour." So that all men he has made may know his work, he stops every man from his labor.
Job 37:5-7

Mmmm. . .I see You, Lord.

Yesterday I spent the day gazing out the window at the fat fluffy flakes tumbling down with my Christmas tree in the forefront. It was a beautiful picture, soothing and comforting just like your lovely words today.

I agree...I love it when you can sit back, sip coffee or hot cocoa, and enjoy. However, I have to admit that watching John's excited response to seeing his first snowfall was equally as refreshing. He certainly stopped John in his tracks today - and let me tell you, only God can accomplish that!!! LOL

You're always so calming, Tami. :~D

We had snow up here in the PNW for about 2 hours last Sunday... it's such a rare treat. My husband and I drove around the neighborhood and inhaled the beauty while it lasted.

I like to think of rain as God's bitter tears, while snow is a softer sorrow. How could there be such beauty in His sorrow?

Hugs, e-Mom
